USDA VETERINARY SERVICES (VS) FACILITY AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LIVS provided programming, site design, architectural and engineering design, and construction administration services, serving as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for the federal government. This $14 million, 45,000-square-foot facility is one of only three designated hubs in the United States for regulating the import and export of live animals. Designed to accommodate large animals such as horses, as well as dedicated areas for birds and reptiles, the facility is a biosecure, state-of-the-art environment that is unique in the U.S. Equipped with specialized quarantine stalls, the facility plays a vital role in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of U.S. agriculture by ensuring all animals entering the country are properly inspected and cleared.
