DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (DASH) Concept Design Overview — Design and Architecture Senior High School Campus Addition The proposed project introduces a detached two-story addition of approximately 13,070 gross square feet (GSF), positioned within the existing courtyard and linked to Building 01 through a covered walkway. This thoughtfully designed expansion complements the existing campus architecture and strengthens the school’s mission of fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation. At the ground floor level, the addition will feature a covered patio that provides shaded outdoor space for informal learning, social gatherings, and circulation. The second and third floors will accommodate a mix of instructional and creative environments, including four general classrooms and three gallery or studio spaces designed for flexible art and design use. These upper levels will also include an art terrace and patio that encourage open-air exhibitions and hands-on creative work, along with male and female restrooms for both students and staff, a conference room, a teacher lounge, and one P.E. classroom supported by adjacent locker facilities and related support areas. Crowning the structure, the roof level will feature a half-size basketball court, creating an active recreational space with expansive views of the surrounding campus and urban context. Overall, the design emphasizes connectivity, creativity, and community, blending functional academic spaces with vibrant indoor-outdoor experiences that reflect the school’s distinctive identity as a leading center for design and the arts.
