BAPTIST CHURCH OF PERRINE Designed as a space for worship services as well as for concerts and theatrical productions. The Sanctuary seats 1600 people in a semi-circular seating arrangement at the ground level and balcony. The ground floor and balcony are sloped and stepped, respectively, to allow excellent views from all seating areas. The space is acoustically designed, providing refractive materials along the rear of the stage, a combination of reflective and sound absorbing materials at appropriate locations and a ceiling configuration designed for acoustical consideration as well as concealment of catwalks and theatrical lighting distribution. The facility provides sophistical lighting and sound systems to support full theatrical productions. General lighting, accent lighting and theatrical lighting are controlled from a central room as well as satellite locations. Sound and video systems are computer controlled and interconnected to the studio located in an adjacent building. All other buildings in the complex were renovated and refurbished as a result of the damaged suffered from Hurricane Andrew. Renovations to the facilities included architectural design and upgrades, structural repairs and upgrades, all plumbing, HVAC and electrical work. LIVS Associates served as the project’s special inspector during the reconstruction phase.
